Coaches may add to these standards as needs arise. 1a. Modesty Dress code: male and female participants must wear tops covering shoulders, chest, and belly. Bottoms must be long enough to cover half of the thigh. Coaches and volunteers are instructed to directly contact a player’s parent/guardian to request a player change if they feel attire does not meet guidelines. 1b. Safety Dress Code: When we play soccer, participants must wear cleats and shin guards and their shin guards must be covered by their soccer socks. For all other activities players must be wearing socks and sneakers. Coaches and volunteers are instructed to remove any player from activity if they are not wearing the appropriate safety apparel. Please note that this includes any use of “oh my….” Coaches and volunteers will be instructed to directly, verbally correct any participant or family member that is not using appropriate language. 3. Players who are choosing not to participate will be asked to stay with their family until they are willing to participate. This allows coaches to remain safely engaged with other participants. We ask players to keep cell phones, , ear buds, and other electronics in their bags. Players should ask coaches for permission if they need to use their phones or leave any ongoing activity.
